Afterschool Cookery Classes for children
Cookery classes are taught by a trained Home Economist, ensuring your child not only learns how to cook, but also learns the answers to the many of the ´whys´ that crop up in the kitchen. Why do we use raising agents? Why is it essential to ensure your bowl for meringue is completely fat free? What happens if we over handle pastry? Why do we put a lid on our vegetables when cooking? etc.
Made by Me cookery classes will equip children with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare and cook a variety of healthy meals for individuals, family groups and special occasions. Teaching children at such a young age instils in them a life-long love of food and an appreciation and understanding for why we should eat healthy foods. What will they learn?
